Corncrake Cottage is a recently completed house situated in the traditional crofting township of Howmore on the west coast of South Uist. Designed for two people to live in complete comfort, the house is located within a 5 minute walk of one of Uistís magical white sand Atlantic beaches.
South Uist is linked to the neighbouring islands of Benbecula, North Uist, Grimsay, Berneray and Eriskay by causeway, and Harris and Lewis to the north and Barra to the south by regular vehicular ferries, so it is an ideal, central location for exploring all of the Outer Hebrides.
The house has a ramped path from the parking area to the front door providing access for the less able. All doors are wide enough for wheel-chair access.
A welcome pack of essential items will await your arrival, and with a house constructed to the latest building standards plus satellite tv and free wi-fi access, a holiday can be enjoyed in Corncrake Cottage whatever the time of year or weather.
